Steve Johnson grew up in Little Rock, Arkansas, one of seven children-- and the only boy. He was educated at the University of Arkansas and graduated cum laude with a Bachelor's Degree in Industrial Management.

After a short time in business, Mr. Johnson returned to the University of Texas at Austin for graduate studies where he was grateful to receive the Dean's Award for Outstanding Academic Achievement. He left there in 1983 after receiving his Master's degree in Business Administration.

Shortly after graduating, Mr. Johnson moved to Houston and went to work for one of the Big 4 accounting firms. In 1984, he completed both the academic and experience requirements and became a Certified Public Accountant.

Since that time Mr. Johnson has served in a variety of positions in the automotive, distribution, and insurance industries including a 4 year stint installing mainframe accounting software in medium-sized businesses (revenues between $20mil and $200mil).

With both controllerships and CFO positions under his belt, he is experienced at both installing and running accounting systems. Mr. Johnson has been working with QuickBooks since 1997 and is a Certified QuickBooks Professional Advisor. He is one of the few Professional Advisors also certified in QuickBooks Point of Sale software.
